| I want to get rid of my front brakes on my baja and use a spindle mount wheel. Do these wheels require special spindles or can I use the stockers? |

i believe they run on a different spindle...but why would you want to eliminate your front brakes? strictly off road use? _________________ Before your criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them you're a mile away and you have their shoes!

Stock spindles, bearings go into wheel instead of drum. Not sure if they are available for Ball Joint, I've only seen King-Pin. _________________ OG JHC

out of curiosity, what do you do with a spindle mounted wheel if you get a flat tire? _________________ OGST | CU05 | OGJHC

| Ok! I have completely rebuilt my front end. I went to put on my brand new douglas wheels and they didn't fit. Bearings were to small. The diameter of the spindle goes from 1.25"/1.245"/1.24"/1". Does this sound like a stock king/link spindle? Also had a hell of a time putting in the link pins/bushings. Didn't fit worth a damn even after freezing the pin and heating the spindle bushings. Is this normal? Please help!!! |

sounds to me like you got linkpin spindle wheels. What front end setup are your running? stock drums, aftermarket disk brakes?? more info _________________ Before your criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. The front end is a link/king pin. The reason the wheels wouldn't fit is because I have combo spindles which I didn't know. The dougles wheels are metric while the shaft on the spindle is standard. I am still trying to make them work but I looks like I will be selling them and machining the drums.
Anyone looking for brand new spindle mounts with tires and bearings or want to swap for 5 lug centerlines??? |
