armrest problems

has anyone had any problems with their armrest. Something must have broken as the arm rest just swivels all the way around with out stoping.

Any help on how to reapir would be appreciated

pop the small plastic cover off, remove the whole arm rest by a phillips screw that holds it on.

Sounds like it is loose.... Idea

if you go on this list and sign up to a yahoo or equally free email service, you can get all the vanagon info you want by using the search button. when i had my vanagon, this list saved me a lot of cash and grief!!

My armrest did the same thing. It turned out that the pin underneath the armrest had fallen out. I shoved a big screw in the hole and it has worked fine ever since. One that to make sure is that you have the armrest in the right position before you put in the screw. If not you could lock it into a down position and have to pull the screw back out. Does it sound like I might have made that mistake?
