I found some stuff about this using the search, but I thought I'd post the definitive method as described on the Flickr site. I was having problems doing this(new member) but now I'm a pro!
To use the URL of a photo (like when you add a photo to your Blogger profile), you must provide the web address (URL) of the image itself, not the address of the web page where the image is displayed.
To get the URL of the actual image file, find the photo you want to use. Click the "All Sizes" button above it and select the size you want. If the photo is yours, two text fields appear below the photo. The first contains a snippet of HTML that will produce the photo on your web site, with a link back to the photo page on Flickr. The second contains the URL of the image itself. Simply copy and paste the one you want into your web site. |

Or, you could just post your VW images here on the Samba. _________________ Eric

Nothing annoys me more than good reference topic that has grown and graduated to a "Sticky" ruined over the period of a year or so by people who have neither the foresight or inclination to load their images to the Samba Gallery.
Just a little time to read the tutorials here on the site will mean that once loaded to the Samba and posted in the topic they will remain visible no matter what.
Not getting at you "xadamx" it just a lot of people don't realise the implications. _________________ John.

Thanks for the tutorial.
Yes, please post the photo(s) in the Samba Gallery if they are VW-related for the reasons stated above by other members. _________________ How to post photos | My VWs

If nothing annoys you more than this, you need to get out more! Like I said...new member, chill out! There's a lot of info to take in here, and I did research the topic and read the stickies. It didn't seem "mandatory" by any means to post the photos in the Samba gallery. In fact, I saw a tutorial in the "How to post photos" sticky that explains how to use Picassa. I guess I was just trying to save bandwidth for the site owner. I will post to the Samba gallery from now on. |

Gotcha...understood.
"If you post it elsewhere, the photos often become "dead links" after a certain period of time, which ruins the thread where you posted the photos. If you post them in the Samba Gallery they are here forever. Not only that, but in the Gallery users can search for photos so much easier than they can in the forums. It's worth it." |

The Gallery is nothing compared to the Classifieds bandwidth so post away. _________________ How to post photos | My VWs
