"Well nothing major to report but I did get the seat stand repairs done and the new floor welded in....."

Funny how knocking out seat stands, floors and dog legs has become "nothing major"

Well today I decide to tackel the right rear of the DC while I'm waiting for Gerson to ship the few pieces I need to finifsh the front of my bus. As you can see the rear was pretty much gone so out with the old and in with the funky green Laughing

Amazing work, damn you're dumping the duckets! I've never seen a "slamed" bus with anything remotely correct in it for an engine, but it looks like you're installing a proper crankhole apron. Really incredibly faithful restoration work... very, very impressive. Now, I KNOW you're not putting a proper 36 back into it... are you? If you've got the 36 and split case that came out, I'm searching for those... Idea

You've got the skilz. Some of the best metal work I've seen here. Are you a professional body-man/welder?

Thanks for the compliment... No I'm a custom home builder but used to run a auto repair company years ago. I have always wanted to get into metal fab and body work as a career but the money in building high end custom homes is the reason I havent.. So I'm nothing more than a weekend warrior in my garage doing what I really love Very Happy

No I dont have the engine or tansaxle out of it. The engine was long gone before I bought the bus not that I would have used it anyways. My plans for the engine are 2276 with 48 IDAs Cool
