More 36hp Data supplied by Burly Burlile...thanks Burly.
There are some gaps that Burly would like filled so if you think you can add to the charts below just add them to this "Sticky" and it will be consolidated into the charts as and when.

- 74mm porsche 356 crank
- 356 rods (poished, custom bushings for 20mm bolt)
- flywheel porsche 356 8 dowel 4,25kg after machining
- cam aircooled research stage II bolt on gear
- valfes 36/28mm
- carbs 34PCI dual (venturi 26mm, 138,5/180)
- manifolds riechert welded and ported
- heads 36hp, some porting and welding
- compressionratio 8,8:1
- spacers 11mm
- headvolume 39cc / ball shaped
- exhaust stock, TDE pipes
- ignition Bosch BR25

Did any of you guys see the vintage film (converted to digital by Aussie Dubbers) of Dick Bieth back in 1961 at Bonneville with his 36hp powered Beetle LSR (complete with bicycle chain-driver Pepco roots blower on top)?
It's great classic stuff, email Burly for a digital copy... |

Hi Tom, Yes Burly has sent a copy and "wiggy" is converting it for inclusion in "The History of Vintage Speed" sticky here.
