I met Brad a few years ago at one of the HB OCTO shows. We hung out with some of the VTO crew after and grabbed some food. My pops and I shared a table and a pitcher of beer with the kid (he was just a kid...we had to sneak him the beer  ). Ever since that day I've thought of Brad as a roll model for kids his age. My pops shared the same feelings that day . The kid had his shit together. It has been a pleasure to see him at the few shows I attend and to sit and play music with him and others around the camp fires.
This breaks my heart to see this shit happening to him.

Brad,
I think what made us the closest was the fact that we both had the same cancer and close to the same time. I met brad at my first bbb. Brad, pinto and I discussed our treatments by the campfire. I really didn't think it would come down to this, but I guess you never really know. I find myself looking for someone to blame with no real reason to. I wish I would have driven the 60 some miles to see Brad more often now but I'm gonna make the drive tomorrow. I shaved my head for Brad once, now I've been growing my hair out for over a year planning to donate it to locks of love. If Brad doesn't make it, I'm shaving that shit again for him. I love you bradda... really hope you pull through.

My thoughts are with ya Brad. Seems like just yesterday we were out in front of Trayle's house trying to get Jerry's diesel started. Hard to believe you weren't even 21 at the time.

I'm at a loss for words here. I've only met Brad several times at various events, but I've chatted with him almost everyday in Chat. Chat will never be the same without Brad. Everytime I think bout what he's going thru, I push the bullshit button on my desk, cuz thats what it is, all fucked up bullshit.

Same time I met him.
He got diagnosed just a few months later and has been fighting ever since. I just hope he's still got some gas in the tank. |
