Here's a few pics of what we got done while I was down at Ben's place

I got a chance to sort the small hole infront of the rear wheel that was an mot failure

I started by cutting out to solid metal

After giving the other side a quick clean I could see what I was trying to copy, nice wonky handmade Karmann panel

Attewell copied panel complete with factory missing corners etc

We knew the rear mounts were going to have to be relocated so I set about drilling out the spots

In order to run the deep 6's and 205/70's we narrowed the torsion housing by 1.5" each side

We had a trial run on a spare section Ben had laying round

Once I had removed the section Ben tacked things back together

The trial run went perfectly so it was time for me to chop the Ghia Wink

While the mounts were off Ben set about re-profiling them

The heater tubes were removed as they would clash with the relocated mounts, won't be needing them but the tubes have been kept just in case

These will help the air system lift the back end up from 3 splines a little easier

After crouching infront of the car I decided that what I want is the headlight, indicator and wheel all to be inline when viewed from the front, this didn't phase Ben ;D After a few measurements it works out to be a 6.5" narrowed beam Cool
