body chrome plastic holders?

How do you insert the plastic holders (with the pin) to the body? Is there a tool to push the pin in or a technique.

The pin should push in fairly easily. I would use a flat-faced punch which just hand pressure to get the pin flush wih the top surface of the clip. Cheers!

I presume your talking about the 67 and later type 1 trim clips?

I stick the clip in the hole ( first I clean out any excess paint or filler that may have filled in the hole) and then push the pin with the end of a plastic screwdriver or other tool handle that is FLAT not round...

I've had problems with those popping out...

I have some that are copper or copper coated out of all the repo's I like those best......
