should i prime and paint it at home in a frame build garage that i will make to trap overspray from getting on anything or should i prime and paint it in a paint booth that i will rent. are there any other ways i can do it . whats the pros and cons of both of the ways.

If you got the money, rent a booth. Otherwise, prepare to so lots of dust nib sanding if you use anything else.

like 3bugs said if you got the money a booth is better but you can get the same results at home if you make you booth right make sure its not to big with a fliter blocking fresh air and a good fan pulling air out which you should use a fliter on to but you need good air movement and a clean spot to paint so make sure you clean the area good before paint

The only thing that matters is the last coats so the best, most cost effective way woud be to do all the prep/primer at home and rent the booth for the color coats. Best of both worlds at 1/2 the price.

That's a good idea Big Jim. If he base coat, clear coats, he can cleanup the base coat and spray the clear in the booth.
