The 1500 Club was represented at the 2006 Invasion. We just didn't know it at the time. Alex and I both drove our cars there. And Corey trailered the T-34 he owned back then.

I woud be up for a run to the summit. Sophy easily made it over Teton Pass for the first Invasion. Granted that is less than 9000 feet and Pike's Peak is 14,000+, but what the heck.

I'm game and I am sure Sophy will be too.

Yes The 1500 Club will be there in one form or another. Rob posed a great idea. As it sits now to me atleast-the Classic weekend is getting a bit old. Honestly this years Classic to me was one of the worst Ive seen. Not the people or cars in attendence-thats what made me come-but rather the show itself has been slipping over the years.

Over the years there has been a unspoken rule that you can park where you want to stay by your friends. This would cause problems when showing your car. Because you could have a stock 58 bug in a line of custom bay window busses. This year was no exception as the 1500 club had to park away from the stock T3s because they started to fill our line with overflow bays. Im surprised anyone won anything this year.

They ran out of food-there was no surf band-was there music at all? Its just not the same anymore and Ive seen the sea of ACVW's many times.

My biggest draw was to meet members from far away places like Britcher and Adam. But we can do that at another event like an Invasion.

So are you up for it boys? Can you handle me, the club and my groopies like jimmynotch? Laughing Will you be able to handle double maybe tripple attendance? Colorado isnt that far from Cali so Id expect a good turn out if I, we, the club gets this wagon rolling.

I can officialy say I am going. Id make it my #1 destination of 2012. Ive been there when I visited Rob. Cool little town.

Man, if Jason is bring his 1500 crew, I will definitely have to finish the Sled by then and bring it to the Invasion....just to keep a little balance in the universe. Laughing Laughing

BTW, the more, the merrier! It would be cool to break the 50 car or more mark on top of Brian's goal to have 150 Invaders there.

If I come Ill do my best to get evrything T3 oriented there-not just stock 1500 cluber-All Typ 3 people-like you guys like it Wink

The 1500 Club plays host to lots of non-members. People like Bob Walton, Rick & Alex Christensen, Scott Taylor and Jack Fisher are just THAT cool people flock from miles round just to meet them. Wink

Since it's the 50th anniversary of the introduction of the Type 3 it makes sense to do something different than the Classic next year, and for the Invasion to have a huge turnout. If my type 34 isn't in the paint shop at that point I'll bring it. (Jason thinks: yeah right! Rolling Eyes )

45 horses climbing Pike's Peak!

Wow, now I don't know if I should finish the Square-vert, the t-34, or just take the 65 Notch again. Think Decisions, decisions. Rolling Eyes

Or do as Gizmo does-let others with no car take them.

I mentioned to Gizmobob that I would like to skip the Classic in 2011 in favor of a type 3 day style show for the 50th anniversary. I also was not happy with how the classic was done this year.

That's the 1 nice thing I like about the T-3 Invasion, it's a Type 3 only event, meaning the bugs and buses stay out in the parking lot. Cool
