i would agree that those look the best but what you have to notice is that the round portion on the wheel does not match the round portion on the cap.. at least the og vw smoothies were closer and thats why this cap looks stuck on like an american wheel.. oh whoops it is an american made wheel.. lol

I will second that I fully understand that with a larger diameter sphere you either have to have a deeper wheel to match the sphere angle on the hubcap or the hub cap would have to stick out farther.. so maybe this is the best you can do.. maybe? give me your solidworks file and i'll show you what im talking about..

I fully agree. I would like to see the hubcap enlarged proportionally to the wheel as well. And don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking your hard work, they look good as is. But IMO I think the larger hubcap would set these over the top...

Every one has an opinion and I respect them all. The crown of the cap is followed in the center to an extant. It is flattened out a little only to achieve the goal. So far, we have several sets sold and pictures should be coming in shortly. Hopefully other interpretations will show the wheels off better.

I am actually crying right now that the smoothies got compared to an old ford truck wheel. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Don't cry Pete...I like em and I'm the coolest person in here.

Why you guys gotta make Pete cry?

I'd still like to see them paired with some stockers and detailed identically. That's the way I'd roll em, bigs and littles.

Don't listen to the haters. Also, I think for them, the big logo caps help with proportions a lot.

why would you show 2 pictures of 2 different wheels that have nothing to do with the 17" smoothies ? people may think these 2 pics are of the 17's which they are not

Me too. Can we buy them in pairs?

I plan on powdercoating them silver and running them totally naked.

Thanks for the reply. I'd be interested in a set with slots but no time soon is good for me too, I've got ~5k left to spend on an engine...

Thought I'd throw the idea out though, they might would sell well to the Porsche outlaw guys; a larger sized tecnomagnesio replica of sorts.

Thanks brother. We have tons of ideas with the introduction of these wheels. I do not like to put all my eggs in one basket to start with, it will drive a businessman insane. I appreciate the looking out.
