Hey everyone,
I've been lurking on here for years (unregistered) and finally registered and bought my first T3, a 68 Squareback.
I'm excited to learn a lot from everyone.
Here's she is:

its got a custom built 1904cc motor mated to a freeway flyer tranny. it also has ISP oatmeal loop weave carpet with ISP seatcovers and lowbacks. original Peru Green paint (with OG service stickers in the door jams) with great patina. it buffs to an awesome shine. i think its down 2 splines front and rear on gasburners with ISP porsche caps.
its an awesome car. nice and fast but still gets great mileage when cruising.
as far as improvements... I have all the stationary window seals and a new ISP headliner, just waiting to get my pop out seals before it all gets done. i need to install my new speedo with trip odometer and hook the speedo cable back up (it came loose on the way home). new shifter bushing and a thorough cleaning this weekend.
otherwise, its good to go! |

Well, I was lucky enough to go with to grab it...AND DRIVE IT. It cruises as good as the patina looks. It's a very dry and solid car with lots of attitude. When you need help with anything, you know who to call. Glad to have you in the group! I look forward to this thread... _________________ '65 Squareback - Sally

previous owner did a quick/cheap hot rod flatz black. it looks good from afar... but any awesome patina there may have been was covered _________________ My other Squareback is a 93 Festiva. |

Take a white Scotchbrite pad to the flat black, it'll come off. _________________ ~Craig

try and salvage it! PM the user Turbomicrowaves, he found a special paint stripper designed for removing just 1 layer of paint. it won't strip the original enamel paint. _________________ '68 Westfalia
