Can anybody email me or post pics of how the dash / bonnet on a max body fits together are they supposed to slide inside each other or what. Plus the dash support instructions from Meyers Co.
Thanks

Are you talking about a Manx 1 with an ABS plastic dash or a Manx 2 or Classic Manx with a fiberglass dash?

The ABS dash fit inside the hood. The fiberglass dash butts up against the rear of the hood. Also, if you use an old Manx 1 frame with a new replacement fiberglass dash, you need to cut off the top cross piece and the two center vertical pieces. Also the Manx 2 didn't have a metal frame. Also the Classic Manx had a redesigned metal dash frame that didn't have the top cross piece or center vertical pieces and had a completely redesigned section for mounting the steering column. Or are you talking about one that was made in Australia and might or might not be similar to what was made in the US?

Thanks for the quick repsonse, the body I have is made from a licensed Manx body maker. It has the LHD drive body with the reinforcing where the column goes, a battery box and I think a spare wheel space. The dash is glass not ABS so I guess it has to butt up against the side of bonnet.
I think I will still install a cross brace / steering support then join the dash and bonnet together.

Here's a pic of the column brace (along with the rest of the hardware) that was supplied with the Classic Signiture Manx kit that'll fit a hood/bonnet and dash when glassed together...

It may be worth asking Winnie as some of the parts (steering support, body mount brackets etc.) are I think the same as supplied with the Kick Out Manx; not sure what the prices would be though if indeed they had any spares. They're all easily manufactured though.

Here's my collection of Siggy Manx bits obtained from places like eBay (some from Australia), swapmeets and benevloent Manx Club members...

Not for sale I'm afraid
