I have been a member of Samba for a long time the majority of the people are good sellers. What is missing is a list of Businesses that are Good businesses and those that are bad Businesses. Well here is one for you. I contracted a business on to do body work on my 1973 Westfalia. The man has a web-site with glaring reviews of his work and advertises that his work was on Hot VWs magazine. Well I took this to be a good move but now I regret it. My car need body work to make it functional, needing the windshield and floor panels replaced. I delivered the van over two months ago and all he got done is the windsheild, engine bay, the dash and the driver side floor panel for $1100.00. I took my van, parked it in the garage and notice my VIN plate was missing. When I first took the car the Owner of the business said he would pop-rivet the plate back on the dash and it was still attached. I called him and he denied it was ever there, but you could see where he drilled the pop-rivet that was still holding the plate and this guy did not do what I he promised. I think that Samba ought to have a of business that are fraudulent and clean up fraud that some are committing. If there was a listing, and I will not mention the guy business until I get a satisfactory answer from him and Samba web-site |
