I'm very poor, and the paint on my 65 bug is oxidizing and just wipes off the roof w/your finger...
I plan on getting a good paintjob next spring for the car.. but for now I would just like it to be all one color... I am going to sand down the few light surface rust spots and strip the roof as thats the place where its oxidizing ... I bought rust preventive primer and I'm going to spray the whole car... has anybody done this???? I have to be this cheap b/c of my current funds situation.. will this keep rust at bay??? any tips would help greatly..
thanks |

if the rust isn't that bad just sand down the bad spots and primer over with a few coats. its a cheap temporary fix _________________ Before your criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them you're a mile away and you have their shoes!

In general, most primer will not even slow down new rusting. If rattle cans are an economic necessity, buy some cans of a color also. |
