| This is a post for all the VW fans in the Northwest and surrounding areas. There has been alot of talk regarding not only the Puyallup Spring Meet show, but others and how they are going down hill. In attempts to save our local VW scene. I've taken it upon myself to organize a show/alternatives. While there isn't a large quantity of shows here in the Northwest, the ones that exist are getting worse and something needs to be done. This doesn't include every single show, but most. If you would like to save our scene and help out in any way, please feel free to contact me at [email protected] or post your address and/or any comments here about anything that you would like to see happen at shows. Serious inquires only. |

I was toying with the idea of trying to get a camping weekend together at Moran State Park (Orcas Island) or maybe a show/swap meet in Anacortes. I don't know if we could pull something off this fall or not. I'm sure the summer is booked at Moran already, but Sept. is a great time in the Islands. The big problem with having anything in the islands is the price of the ferry tickets.
Anacortes is a sweet town and there's a park with camping by the water. They're very accommodating to the bikers for the Oyster Run (I think that's either the end of Sept. or October), they might be for a swap meet/show as well. When and where is Bugtober Fest? I don't see anything posted here for that. Summer is really busy for me at work but I'd be happy to help as my free time allows. Vicki ([email protected]) |

| I dont have any large qualms about any of the Northwest shows. I agree that most have been slowly going down hill. I would attend any and all shows organized in this area. Puyallup was a dissapointment this year. Im willing to help in anyway i can. Im in portland, oregon reach me at [email protected]. |

| I gotta say AirCooled are dying out, I love my '96 GTi ShowCar, but there is a special spot for my '73 Super as well, thats why it gets driven more, besides, the GTi takes a lot more money and maintanence. Thank god the swap meet is still mainly air-cooled, I still need lots of Baja Parts for the project. |
