Picked up this bus last week and wanted to share some pics as well as the slow progress that will accure on this bus....
I am on the samba everyday learning and admiring other bus enthusiast handy work. So I wanted to share what I have and also welcome any possitive feedback and constructive criticism.
I do not know much about wolfsburg busses, but I am wanting and willing to learn.... I have been over the post barndoor / wolfsburg thread so many times I have memorized it, I hope that I can be of some help to others, but more than likely i will need a great deal of help in in order to put this bus back to its original state.
I do have all the glass which is the big logo SEKURIT - no VW logo.
I was told that it is the correct glass?
I do not have the correct seats (go figure)
I am sure I will learn what is correct on the bus and what is not, as soon as I dive in and see what I need I will be on the hunt for some pretty hard to find parts - thats the fun part...
here are a few pics - I will try to keep the pics and posts updated as I go.
the bad side...
nice roller paint job???
cannot get the gas cap off - HELP
Battery Tray
Engine compartment
Cargo door with holes like it had door panels??
Thanks for looking _________________ SOUTHERN INTEGRITY AIRCOOLERS

Good project
The bus has a job, but when you have finished the reward will be rewarding |

| Not bad at all from those pictures. Original VW gas cap. Try light taps with a screwdriver handle all around but don't dent it then it should twist free. |

| If the cap won't come off with minor effort or spraying some PB Blaster, I would pull the tank and set the end of the neck in some ATF, power steering fluid or other light oil for a few days. I've done this with wheel cylinders as well. |

Nick - believe it or not - I have been looking for a pressed bumper kombi for a while...after finding this one and several sleepless nights and getting hundreds of pics - i took the plunge.

201467** September 55 - not sure if it is the switch over month - I just know that my title says 1955...
if anyone knows please let me know - I do not want to mislead anyone.
as far as the paint removal - i have done nothing to the bus yet - trying to finish my 67 deluxe before I start another project... I have ordered tires and just got my wheels powder coated - should be on the road this thursday....Yee Haaa!!! _________________ SOUTHERN INTEGRITY AIRCOOLERS
