Nice Mini Zozo!
Though 4 years old now (spring break, 2007), here's a photo of me crossing the famous "Golden Crack" in Moab, UT. My modified FJ Cruiser had just 250 miles on it when I took it rock crawling for two days. Crazy...
Absolutely the most exciting thing I've ever experienced in a car. _________________

06 Mini Cooper S
There's some thing inherently fun about driving both my beetle and mini that has little do with the actual performance of the cars.
(only photo I had handy was from when I was photo-shopping a new grill & wheels on the car. I bought the wheels but not the grill) |

Actually no, I had a guy hop on the passenger side rail and pull the right rear tire down. There were two photographers on this crossing- and the one uphill from me got my pictures in the All-Pro Offroad 2008 calendar. It was the first weekend of the Jeep Jamboree- and I had a couple dozen jeepers cheering me on, "Scratch that shiny Toyota!!!" Stuff like that- lots of fun. The car made horrible noises- dragging over obstacles- but I've got skidplates and articulation to spare. _________________

My other car is a '89 BMW 750il. Half a daily driver, half a project, like WVs.
With a detachable towing hitch, very handy when VWs once again won't move for one reason or another.
Currently typ14 don't have engine (it's on my living room floor, rebuilt), typ2 and typ34 are in winter storage and typ34 needs a lot of work to be drivable at all, a project car. _________________ Kharon -- '63 typ14, '61 typ2, '65 typ34

My other car is a '02 VW Passat GLX. It's nice... until it needs work. Impossible to work on and parts are WAY too expensive. _________________ Have you thanked a Veteran today?
