Hey guys,
I have been working on a few projects for my car, and figured i would start a thread here for the progress.
Here's the car the day I picked her up.
I removed the bumper over the summer,
removed the stock steering wheel and installed a very old wooden 14" wheel i received from a good friend.
All washed and waxed before I had to put her away for the nasty winter.
Someone like it!

Feb 13th at the winter OCOD meet and swap at Zack and Tony's in PA
broken drivers side mirror, will need a new one.
Little bit of a vacuum issue, got some great advice and will pull the carb off soon for some adjustments.

Updated Tachometer Project,
Got the dremel and was able to cut out the hole in the dash, backed it with a white piece of thick card board.
alittle electrical tape on the back to hold the card board in and its done, now to hook it up and test the fit in the car. _________________ 1968 VW Beetle

not sure but i believe it used the grant style wheel adapter.
I have seen reproductions of this wheel at pep boys for about 70$. This one is from the 70s and my buddy had in on his wall all this time after he wrecked his car in 76.
its still a little bend from that wreck! _________________ 1968 VW Beetle

On the steering wheel, I bought a Grant wheel maybe 9 years ago. I was torn between the one shown and one that had what would look like the "EMPI" style spokes, and that is the one I bought. I still have it but swithed to a smaller four spoke Grant wheel that suits my car better. So I would say that is a Grant wheel. Nice car BTW.

I had the same steering wheel on my '69, got it from a swap meet, mine had the horn button though. I still like that style, NICE _________________ 1968 Squareback
