Have you looked at the narrowed frt control arms so the wheels will fit and not rub? _________________ I drive my VW or I walk

I agree, the mesh looks awesome. I really like the stock wheels, too. _________________ '68 Sunroof Squareback

165/50 will make mesh wheels fit. I hope.
Maybe Airbags will help too....
Im not sure yet if, Im making those to this or some old yank pick-up
Glassfiber fenders came with car. Original fenders are very rusty but, I will fix them. Thats was gameplan all along.
And rear steelies are banded. They are 6" wide _________________ Vw Type 3 1600TL -69 |

Those wheels are SO perfect for your car!
What did you end up doing to make them work?
It looks like you have the rear fenders pushed out a bit.
Did you roll the fender lips?
What size tires ended up working?
Is it all dialed in, or still have issues?
Was going to try to fit 8" rims to the back of my fasty,
but about ready to give up... _________________ Bus Motor Build

Thanks everybody.
But, this is not anywhere close Bert's T3 in awesomeness.
Maybe those wheels just make mine look good.
Shitty paint, cracked fender, allways dirty, unfinished interior...
You don't wanna see it live
Anyway.
Got bored, dropped rear end 1 spline
Clatter:
I've just rolled lips from fenders with baseball bat.
Tyres are now:
165/50-15 with 7x15 et 23 - 3 spline drop
and
195/50-15 with 8x15 et 11 - 1 before now 2 spline drop
Im going to order 195/45's when those rear tires are done, just for look 50's are bit too donuts compared to front tires.
I recomend this program if you have problems with stance

Little update.
After Bug Run -11, it was time to go to summers first event.
KalisCruising -11. 150km's from Savonlinna to Kuopio.
When I was driving to kuopio, it rained like hell. Result: about 2000 gallons of water inside.
My car was in No Pokemon Shit row (Bunch of guys who hate cars ruined with glassfiber and love clean and stanced cars)
Everybody liked my car. Guy who shoots and writes finlands main "tuning"-magazine, fell in love with my car in pre-event-meet and took pics immediately. Last week he told that he's gonna make story about it
After event:
Next event was:
Old Timer Run -11
Only 100km's from Savonlinna to Mikkeli.
Once again, everybody loved my car. Everybody wanted to know story behind my car. Everybody kept wondering how in the hell I can drive it (I guess it's low or they are just old )
When I was driving home, half way car just stalled. I tried to find reason but, everything was ok except, there wasn't fuel comming out of fuel pump. I checked pump, it was ok. I guess the engine/carbs/fuel pump were so hot, that gasoline just vaporised (turned to fumes).
We towed 60km's to my home garage. I tried to start it and it was alive.
Maybe it cooled down. I don't know.
Week after stalling it was time to go: No Pokemon Shit Big Meet -11
440km's from Savonlinna to Jämijärvi.
I just thought: F*ck it, if it breaks, it breaks. It took 6,5 hours to get there but it was worth it. Vw made it.
I had longer trip than everybody else. Second came from 400km away(from Iisalmi)
I had oldest and unreliabliest car.
Everybody liked my car and kept wondering how I managed to get there.
Oh, I were only who were sober and I! managed to lock my self out of my car with keys in side of car
Last weekend I were in Mikkeli again. This time:
Bug in Finn -11
Once again good event and bunch of very nice cars.
My early bay and air ride fever won't go down....
My friends bagged mk2 jetta:
This with bit of lowering and nice wheel and I would be pleased
Juha's very nice -66 fasty:
5000km after registration _________________ Vw Type 3 1600TL -69 |
