Cool though that is, it just isn't the same as driving your very own bus at any event!

X2! The very few times my bus had to be towed was because of such catastrophic failures that it could not even be "eased" home. My queen pulls the trailer! _________________ Some people are so busy being clever they don't have time enough to be wise. |

Oh I totally agree but I would have twice the fun without all the added stress, expense, driving, time. Sometimes I even like to just go to local(southeast) shows as passenger too. _________________ OGJHC

You have to be prepared. This is very hard on your bus. If you are going, please, please be prepared. I drove my 21 across. It ran like a champ...knock on wood... I didnt have one problem |
I made this trip with Bubba back in '04. It was the first time we met, and I had just returned from doing it 3 months before. It was a blast. And remember Bubba there was a problem, that 3rd bus that was with us! Roamed thru some kickass boneyards on the way and took our time. Hard part for me was riding back solo with a 9 yr old in the back seat, "Dad, how much longer?"
I'll be game for meeting up with anybody cruizing from Fla. _________________ Currently without a VW and looking for a pre 67 truck or Kombi |

I can't afford to take my bus out there but I would be willing to split gas and expenses for a seat in somebody's bus. I am determined to go this year if everybody else is going.
If friends of mine are driving across either there or back I would even conciser doing that drive. I have always wanted to do a drive across the US. My parents and I did one years ago to Vegas. it was a blast even though I was 13 and with my parents.
I am not opposed to flying out either. _________________ "some-times there's a man--I won't say a hee-ro,'cause what's a hee-ro?--but sometimes there's a man, And I'm talkin' about the Dude here, sometimes there's a man who, wal, he's the man for his time'n place, he fits right in there--and that's the Dude" - The Big Lebowski |

There may end up being more than 2 groups. It would be cool to join up with others along the way. By the time this caravan hits the Cali border you could have quite a display of vehicles. Driven, towed, or on trailers.
I know I have a lot of work to do between now and next year but will do all I can to make the show. It may be to soon for others to completely commit at this point but the discussions here sound promising. _________________ 61DD W/T Turbo Build

Vince... I was committing to Gerson. I know he has a hard time keeping a bus for a long time....Now he is going to try to hold on to two...I don't think he is going to be able to.....with the line up of cars he wants in his head.... He is taking 2 barn's out, and wanted me to drive one.... I was only stating my camper will be able to roll if one does sell........ The trailer is only for problems that may come up, not for towing out.....
I do need to change my signature... Haven't been on much.....Hell....I don't even own the car i need the parts for... _________________ ***WANTED***
