Hi,
I just picked up a 181 project, and was happy to see there were some sprintstar wheels to go with the project
When I looked at the stamps, 2 wheels clearly say empy, lemmertz, 5,5-15, 1567, made in western germany
but the other to have been re-stamped so the logo can not be seen anymore for some reason?
anyone knows why this has been done?

| I'm pretty sure the two with logo x'd out are originals. Unless they are the new bbt sprints that just came out. Are the x'd out logo'd ones dated? If so maybe they were a blem from the factory and sold out the door and logo's marked out for that reason? |

lemmertz did sell these wheels under their own name in europe back in the day. so perhaps they were stamped empi, but not delivered and sold in europe as lemmertz.
it's a wild guess but??? |
