You need to check the oval gallery. Pharquarx
posted pics of his oval.

Kjells,
You're right in pointing to Himmel Service. I should have asked the OP to post a photo of their interior. I just went with what I found in the gallery rather than X check with Himmel. However, it was my understanding that standard (non US) models had a plain gray rather than the herringbone in photo and Himmel Service doesn't offer that pattern. However, I've only seen one Standard oval in person and that one (a 54?) was pretty original and had the gray material you'd see on a standard split. See either the standard split or the canadian standard oval in the classifieds for reference. THere is a thread on this material being produced for some of the standard split restorers in the split bug forum. |

Kjells,
Interesting, thanks for the info. While I've always liked my L378 and I really like the red leatherette (which my car currently does not have) a horizon blue oval with a blue interior is a nice looking ride. If your friend still has his oval, I'd love to see some photos of the car & its interior posted just for the information it'd provide. That is if it's not already in the gallery and I just didn't find it |

Sorry, got no interior pictures.
And the car was done for a friend of him that I didnt knew.
The car was in Hessisch Oldendorf 2 years ago.
I try to see what kind of interior ovals have, since I got one with original interior myself (Nilbeige with beige polkadot, but well used).
And there are some small changes, mainly in februar/march 1956.
This weekend a big meeting in Norway is taking place (SCC, www.sccevent.com ), if I go there, I'll see if I can take some interior pictures of a Horizon blue car. Leatherette is not common in Norway. _________________ I got a historic car, every scratch got a history...

kjells,
Is this like the interior you have?
this is in the gallery for an agave green oval which would have the same beige interior as a prairie beige. It does look much nicer in a car than the sample on the himmel service site. The photo actually in the gallery I think shows the detail of the interior than this photo for some reason. Search "agave" in the oval gallery if you need to check. |

| Got it. The piping is a very nice detail to know about. One thing I like about the cloth interiors I am seeing is the door panels with the vinyl top & bottom. Very nice looking. |
