Been out of VW's for a bit but this deal fell in my lap. Got it for 500 bucks cause it did not run, So I charged the battery and figured out to was the voltage regulator. Runs like a top now. It really clean and unmolested. I normally don't mess with the late models but I always wanted a lifted full bodied bug. I'll post progress pics for everyone as it progresses, Thanks for looking.

Well the car runs and drives but needs some bugs worked out. Instead of fixing them first I'm raising it up first. I figure it will be easier to crawl underneath. I'm no spring chicken anymore. I think ill do the front first. Go Seahawks!

Just a commuter car 99% on road. Maybe a fire road here and there. I saw a clean bug with a body lift almost 20 years ago and always wanted one ever since. This bug will be my primary driver, I have not had a VW in a few years and have really been missing not having one. Put some lifted spindles on it adjust the rear torsions and your done, minus the offroad tires. The simplest way to go _________________ Wandering

Yeah I'm undecided, Cut and turn the beam for free or buy spindles. I'm sure the ride would be better with spindles. I have also started spraying all the pan bolts for installation of the body lift. _________________ There are 3 kinds of people in this world, The kind that can count and the kind that can't.

Got the gaskets all set and the body is back down. The suspension is still stock, that will get raised soon.

I saw those, I might go that route. The motor is stock as far as I know so I think the 700-15 might be too tall. I have a set of m/s 205's I could put all around but it might look goofy being too small. _________________ There are 3 kinds of people in this world, The kind that can count and the kind that can't.
