Depends where you go, heard anywhere from $2500 to 6000+ for a full square chop. Alot cheaper to buy a bug that's already chopped. Bugs are one fo teh hardest cars to chop because of the curved roof, they require at least a donor roof to lengthen and widen the roof as needed.

check out www.volksrods.com if you want help if you decide to chop it yourself. I have a bunch of articles on chop tops on my site @ www.RuntRod.com if interested, but it's not for the timid or beginners, but not impossible neither.
