While I was under my bus checking cleaning up the ground strap, I noticed my tranny has switch for a backup light. What year did they first install them? _________________ 61 Ghia

I pulled the starter out and noticed the bushing was super loose and it was kind of odd that it didnt have one in the first place. I installed an autostick starter and now it cranks like a beast. Maiden voyage is getting closer and closer. _________________ 61 Ghia

Finally got the motor running. The carb accelerator pump was flooding the carb. I disconnected the spring on the accelerator pump, let the motor dry up and she started!!!!!!! Going to change oil now and adjust spring on accelerator pump spring, then we will back it out of the garage for the first time!! _________________ 61 Ghia

Maiden Voyage is in the books. Bled brakes, adjusted clutch and backed her out of the garage. The kids jumped in and I took her around the block!!!!!!! We were all laughing and yelling like kids. Man, I love this stuff. _________________ 61 Ghia

Congratulations! Getting em' running IS a huge deal, especially after they've been sitting for as long as your's has. Ah ha! Now we know what you look like too... prime suspect! Cute kids!
What's next on the list? |

Progress, I was able to get my running lights, headlights (hi and Low), and rear lights working. Now on to the blinkers. My Blinker switch is supposed to be from a 63 bus but I can't seem to match the colors on the schematics.
