In my opinion, finding a politician that drives a Vanagon would be like spotting a unicorn. That being said, I do know a gentleman that lives in southern Indiana that has held elective office that currently owns 4 Vanagons (3 Westies and a Pass Van). |
I'm on City Council and have a Vanagon. I'm "that hippie newcomer" to some old-timers. And not quite the same, but our Mayor has a Eurovan.
But in my day job I'm an online professor/natural resource economist _________________ '90 Westy Syncro EJ25 (money pit #1)

Also a current Mr. Mom. This holliday weekend I'm teaching my daughter(11) to build a '69 912 engine from scratch.
She helped clean the parts and is the best socket fetcher ever. |

| Journalist and author of the recent book "Ghost Wave - The Discovery of Cortes Bank and the Biggest Wave on Earth." I also wrote the story on Syncros for the NYTimes several years back. White H20 - I saw you work on carriers - you might get a kick out of the book. The USS Enterprise once collided with - and was nearly sunk by the Cortes Bank, back in 1985. I found the captain of the ship and interviewed him about nearly turning the farthest outlying Channel Island (Cortes only happens to be slightly below the sea at this point in Geologic history) into a great big nuclear graveyard. |
