Here's some stills from my collection I finally scanned in today.
May 1980 BOR, would that be #5?
Browers Auto Body sponsoring the show.
"WOW A V8"
And remember the wheel stand guy?
Meadow Vista Automotive, I remember him because he was a local guy near Auburn.
My car, Hugo in the show (same in my avatar, driving it today):
Irony at it's finest: Steve Brower's show car, I took the pic of the interior because I liked it. Met him later and bought it when he gutted it to make his racecar. It's now in my car still today (see my dyno video on the engine build thread in my sig from yesterday).
BOR - May, 1982. I shot Ray Vallero and Gary Berg's run, but didn't meet Ray until the following month when I burned up my 1300 stock engine in Hugo. (which is the motor in the dyno vid yesterday) It was bracket racing and I'm sure that Ray will point out that is the only reason Gary is ahead of him...
Ooooooh, a TV in a car!
I must have liked this interior, I took 3 pics of it.

Okay, I'm getting some vhs vids online... A VHS to DVD converter software for Mac is on my Xmas list.....
Anyhoo, these are from BOR XV. I will work on some more later...
Part 1 consists mostly of the gathering and cruise to the event, LOTS of cars and maybe some faces that people will recognize and identify? Starts out with the plane at the track, didn't the owner of the raceway used to fly in?
Link
Part 2 gets in to the part in the pits, same event.

WOW!! It's cool to see all the Race VW's that inspired me to build faster VW's......I see Dave Folts dragster (built my first Rhino Cased gear box around 1982) & seeing Steve Tims fiat launching (an Iconic racer based near where I grow up in LA, and who's race cars I grew up seeing at his shop in Bell, Ca 80's)....great footage!! _________________ 1955 151 Deluxe L219 Congo Green (Project)

I don't know if I like the dash with the massive but tiny screened TV or the one with the dedicated spot for the equalizer more. _________________ '60 Canadian Standard, '64 Bug, another '64 Bug, '66 Bug, '69 Sunroof Bug, '69 GT3 Bug, '71 Super, '72 Super, '73 Canadian Custom, '74 Love Bug, '83 Mexi Bug, '85 Cabrio, '94 Mexi Bug, '99 New Beetle, '02 New Beetle Turbo S, '03 New Beetle VR6.
