Not too worried about it since it will be strictly off-road. Swear I read during my research that the geometry was actually better in some cases, may be wrong though.

Trying to decide on rims. Bead-locks or not.

Going with a 33X14X15C Bogger

Not sure if I should go with a cheaper basic rim like this.

Worried about having a wide tire, don't want to be losing a bead in the middle of a hill!

bead locks u have the chance of ripping the bead on the tire

have seen this on a friends jeep he wasnt happy Laughing

Hmm, never thought about that either.. All in all would it be better to just go with a regular steel rim? I hate making decisions!!!

you really only have a chance of ripping a bead on a tire with a bead lock if you're running extremely low tire pressures, and crawling rocks. this is a buggy not a jeep, two completely different animals. take into consideration the amount of racers that run beadlocks, if they have a flat its a tire issue not a wheel issue. don't cheap out on tires and wheels, especially since they're what connects your car to the road, you get what you pay for.

Not sure really, some cheap "OEM" shocks from MidAmericaMotorWorks, got them before I really knew what I was doing. Wouldn't recommend the shocks or the company. Won't be using any of the front beam that is currently on it. Going with a tower-less Bugzlya conversion beam and hoops.

Small update for your guys.

Got my calipers in today, picked up two four piston dynalite calipers and man are they nice!

Also got my rims in today, chose some 15x8 steel rims to make my own bead-locks out of, went with 5x4.5 bolt pattern because in case I ever need a spare rim I have tons laying around. I will be running airkewld bad series rotors all the way around using 5x4.5.

This is what they will look like after I get the bead-lock kit installed, you weld a ring on the outside of the rim, no cutting or anything, guess a lot of guys over at 4x4pirate run these setups and have good luck with them. No worries on the weld, my uncle offered to do it at work where he can xray the welds to make sure they are air tight.

Soon as I pay all this off, which is gonna be tight, I will be buying the rotors and two 33x12.5 tsl swampers, plus shocks once f-o-a re-opens.

Also pretty sure I am going to purchase eagle performances a-arm kit!

Bad Series rotors are on their way, also scrambled up some temporary tires until I get my new ones. Pretty sure I will be at around 80 inches wide in the rear.

Sorry for no posts, been rather busy. Got quite a few things done recently.

Rear end is done for now, just have to put calipers on and shocks and my final tires.

Good work on your build, but you seam to be haveing a hard time settling on your final setup which looks like it is costing you much more money. Whatever you finnish it will be great so have fun doing it.

slow down on your welds and watch the puddle.. practice till they lool like a roll of dimes. what kind of machine are you using? wire? gas?
