I remember that car when it was stored in a barn in Wolfsburg area. It belonged to a guy named Erich Schuppke who had a rentalservice for moviecars. He had a couple of type 82 next to many other vintage cars. They were all not maching numbered, just functiinal for using by non-technical actors. You can see your car in many german films like jean-Jaques Arnod's 'Anamy at the gates'

The chassis was opened, gas tube was changed and all the others was cleaned. We also take out other incorret welded metal parts who was used to brakes fluid system instead of cables. Inside painted and first primary was applied(Sorry for my English).

Good job Antonio! I will be following this.
One thing though, is there not supposed to be a nut in front of the tunnel to attach the bracket for the petroltank?

Pete - I'm looking for details but the gas tube doesn't go inside the chassis and coming out on front and then connect with flexible gas tube to the fuel tap?

Lovely work, great to see a piece of history so lovingly restored! I'll definitely be following this one. Hope you keep us all posted on your progress at the 166 Registry as well, as you can count on lots of help from some experts there too.
Cheers!
