I'm thinking I want to go 4" Narrowed w/ shock towers, I want to run stock wheels so that should be enough correct? Also do I need drop spindles to maintain the correct geometry? Also do I need a flip kit for same reason? And the only thing I found for the rear is a plate to correct toe, right? |
you got it man.. get a beam drop spindals and just adj and notch meybe extend your spring plates and your good to go..nothing i mentioned is not reversable..good luck and you got yourself a clean car.. _________________ RustWagens

Very clean, can't wait to get my bagged |
This car isn't bagged, its static. Thanks though
Motor was not rebuilt like PO insisted, the internals are probably 25 years old. Another reason why you cant trust east coasters! Ah well, ordered a bunch of parts from CBPerformance and hoping to have the motor done by the end of next week:

| I like the orange wheels and the black ones, due to the contrast I like the Black, but i bet blue would look bad ass too. The car is missing some bad ass exhaust. I like the car overall. Bad ass brother! |

Looking at a 65 this week...wanna go low but maybe not as low as you are, I like the stance but the roads on the east coast (we're not all bad out here) and the lip at the end of my driveway would probably like it just a little higher. Good inspiration for the future!

Rear tires are 195/50, although I would suggest something taller as its difficult making freeway speeds with my freeway flyer. I am looking for new tires before spring rolls around, hope I can find something to fit without rolling my fenders.
Motor is gone through, ended up with new pistons / jugs as well as heads ( old ones were off a fuel injected motor and not in great shape ). Also picked up a Tri-Mil. Engine tins are getting hydro-dipped to look like bamboo and should be back in 2 weeks, then re-assambly and off to MOFOCO for a test run on their engine dyno.

Possibly next winter, if I still have it by then. Funds are scarce lately, between looking for a new career and job hopping I haven't been real set. |

Almost hit 70 today so it was time to bring the car home finally:
I pulled all the engine insulation and degreased the engine bay and that was that, took way longer then I expected so thats all you get. Hoping to have the engine together by the end of this week, still waiting on the engine tins then off to MOFOCO to try out their engine dyno thanks to Roy

Thanks guys, should have some more to add this weekend. Nothing too exciting though, just new axle boots and finished up the engine bay as well as added a tach to the steering column and painted the generator.
The hydro-dipping process is pretty neat, a friend of mine and his pops just started doing it locally and the prices are outstanding right now as he is trying to get his name out there. If you guys need anything done get ahold of them NOW and get your stuff done for cheap : http://www.teamgileto.com/
As far as durability, it is base coated then dipped then clear coated so it will be as durable as a normal paint job. Can wet sand / buff it the same as well
Thanks for all the comments guys, I am just getting more and more motivated to get this thing rolling for the season. Weather has been outstanding and I've been spending too much time on the bike... |
