Can't help you with a used one, but in my Ebay shop a new one is 799 US$ and we could discuss a price outside of Ebay. _________________ T5 Shuttle 2.0 TDI |

Finally found an assistant, like hens teeth in australia
Drove for two hours to get it. Me and my friends bought four out of five trollies the guy was selling.
At the ware house
After a wipe down
So I know it's post 65', but can any one tell me more.
It has the holes for a stool (currently making)
Continental tires
yellow caster breaks
Also take note of the divider that has been modified by a PO so as to be used sideways. was anything like this offered?
Thanks for the awesome thread

Hi, I only bought 1 trolly as I have limited leash when it comes to keeping stuff, My friend bought two. 1 to keep the other for parts to fix up his two pre 65' trollies.
Price varied from trolly to trolly, I paid $300 for mine, but my other friend bought what he thought was the best one for $420.
Considering I may never find another for sale at such a good price I was happy to pay for it. _________________ Collector of all things Volkswagen, Hazet and Matra. No wonder my friends think I'm crazy

| Nice carts! I think the yellow wheel lock dates it to the 70's. I am diggin' the Matra tool box on the floor as well. Let us know how your three-leg stool turns out. |

Hahaha thanks, I wondered if someone would see it.
You're reading the Matra trolly thread I see, it's the same one from that.
The stools should be good when I finally get around to them, I have the designs from the first couple of pages of this thread but they're missing some main measurements, Also the scaling of the designs has been altered making it nearly impossible to get them 100%. O well what could possible go wrong?
thanks for the info on the wheel locks _________________ Collector of all things Volkswagen, Hazet and Matra. No wonder my friends think I'm crazy

I really like the look and function of the Hazet Assistant collapsible service carts but can't see spending that kind of money for something like that.
But, I want one.
Wondering if there are any other brands sold in USA or importable to USA that are similar in design but hopefully cheaper.
Links and info would be great!
Thanks

It would be a waste of money. The quality isn't anywhere near a Hazet cart. Well worth the price! |

My friends own a couple of 'fake' trollies, they are useless for anything but storage, If you intend to use your trolly you're better off paying more for something that will last.
A word of warning: once you buy one you'll start trying to fill it.

|
|
Hello all
As my son over the last 3 years has been slowly but lovingly rebuilding a Mrk 2 VW Golf GTI
I started to surf the web to read and learn more about the subject.
I came across this great forum and started to read with amazement about the amount of interest there is in the Hazet Assistant tool trolley as a VW accessory.
The reason being when I did my engineering apprentiship 1976 - 1979 I was fortunate to inherited an old Hazet tool trolley from an old boy who was about to retire.
Although all these years later I now try to run my own company and use pens instead of tools, this trolley has been with me ever since, even spending 4 years in America when I worked and lived there.
It would appear it is an early one may even be as early as 1950’s
"a" lower case
One blue and one black handle
Single tray
Hole located in the end to accommodate the stool which I remember, but unfortunately due to it falling apart, discarded many years ago.
It looks to have many of its original features and is, in a surprisingly good state for its age, I can only ever remember giving it a new paint job, when I got it.
If anyone is, or knows anyone that may be interested in taking it off my hands, as a restoration project I would be open to realistic offers, as I would rather see it in the hands of an enthusiast than see it continue to sit sadly in the corner of my garage, gathering dust.
Let me know. I have taken a number of picture of it but have not worked out yet how to get them posted |

Do the arms detach easily. Mines not got the folding arms and i need to get it sent to me by couriour. If the arms come off that would be very helpfull. _________________ Exeter Aircooled Founder Member
