| Ok,,, I have looked all over the site and have not found an answer to my question. I have my rear diagonal arms apart and painted.. time to re install everything and my memory shot craps. The outer spacer #21 on the exploded view with a convex side and a flat side. which goes towards the bearing. I have found a dozen schematics showing the order but nothing about which direction. Yes, I have a bently, no it isnt specific either or at least I can find it.. |

| The curved side (convex ) side goes toward the bearing to answer my own question and just for the record in case someone else searches on this very question. Found the answer on other forums in samba. So, you will need to do a samba wide search. I also found that many people saying that the large O ring goes around the bearing but I found that not to be true. I had 4 seal kits and all the rings were too large for this placement. It goes at the top landing and it seems to fit and seal the area where the backing plate slide over the arm at least on IRS. SA axles do have the Large O ring wrap around the bearing. |
