Very cool, Chris! Hope to be there also!
I noticed that Stanagon had already posted some great images from the fantastic '11 event (search: "CVA DustOff 2011"), and so I just added a couple more:
At the event, with Matt, Bill, Greg, Fred, and many other good friends, checking out the beautiful cars and enjoying lots of old-VW comaraderie:
Here's a neat shot taken by Greg (but who's the joker in the pretentious driving cap?):
And we saw our old buddy Tom (SAMBA handle: "tmvdubs") along with his better half Diane, in their kool Squareback in traffic (Route 195 near the East Brook Mall) as we were on our way home:
And one more "driving home" shot, as Matt and I followed Bill, Diane, and Greg:

No problem, Donald.
I've never been to it, but from browsing their web site, it *gives the impression* of being very much of an H2O-oriented event (though there does appear to be an air cooled trophy listed).
But it's still a *VW* event, and at a time of the year when there is not a heck of a lot of other stuff going on. If I have some time that day, I might take a drive out to Seekonk (especially if there is a flea market)... _________________ The Real Stock Steve

| I've been to the Seekonk thing two years in a row as it's just up the road from me. Very small Air cooled contingent, but it has potential to grow. There's a good chance I'll make the Dust-off this year as well. |

Ouch, one more minor thread hijack...
Here's another local-area, very-early-season, and apparently also highly H2O-oriented gathering (but with at least one air cooled trophy, it appears), Saturday, April 7th, at Sherwood Island State Park, in Westport, CT: "Dubs on Defrost."

That show is MAJOR watercooled. I believe that last year there were 3 aircooled cars out of a good few hundred cars.
I'll most likely be there in my watercooled Golf, Bug safe and warm in the garage. |

There is also a LiMBO campout in Shrewsbury, MA the night before the CVA show and a cruise to the show.
April 28 (Sat) Shrewsbury, MA – LiMBO Spring campout, Ward homestead, across from Ward hill ski area. Join us for a relaxed casual campout, breakfast on Sun. at Dean Park diner, caravan to CVA dust off on Sun. Campfire and vintage trailer display are all free. I'm planning on being there. No VW on the road, so Dale's loaning me a bus to sleep in. I might/should stay home and fix my exhaust and get my Vanagon going but....
On the Seelonk show this weekend (22nd) That show is major H20, but still interesting scene to see. I think there was about 1/2 dozen bugs there. _________________ John
