Amazing series, and im not just saying that as a cards fan. We saw a lot of great plays, great pitching, player intensity, manager mind games, costly errors. Every ticket holder got their $$ worth. What fun, way to go cards. Texas has plenty of chances to win it in game 6, but thats the pros for ya! They just wont go away! Now, what will happen to Pujols

"And thats a winner!" - the great Jack Buck, we miss his voice

You KNOW Nolan Ryan was thinking, "give me the friggin' ball, I can get one more strike, dammit!" in game 6. Great baseball, absolute heartbreak for him.

Well, Larussa just announced his retirement. While i am happy he is goingnout on top, he will be tough to replace. Now, what will become of Albert?

Who cares? I like Pujols as a ball player...he's awesome, but he turned down 200 million for 10 years? F**k him, let him go play for the Yankees and he and A-rod can can argue over who makes more and the size of their dicks. Give Berkman and Freese a pay raise. Greedy bastards.

Agreed, Freese and Berkman really came thru since Pujols wasnt even pitched to half the time. It will be an interesting season next year

He can't help the fact that he wasn't pitched to, but aside from game 3, when he was pitched to, he didn't do much.

Gary Carter's fight with brain cancer has turned from brave to extremely grave.

On Thursday, Carter's family received a phone call from the doctors at Duke University who have been treating the Mets Hall of Fame catcher informing them that the most recent MRI revealed "several new spots/tumors on his brain," Carter's daughter, Kimmy Bloomers, wrote on the family website.

Yea baby! I just hope Cabrera doesn't whine about having to move to third. He really wanted a golden glove...

Supposedly the organization spoke to him about it before acquiring Fielder, and he was on board. Time will tell.

Yea - and we all know how stable Cabrera is! (hope the move doesn't drive him to drink more!)

But I'm sure he'll be happy to have a great batter behind him so he actually gets to see some strikes next season!!

Bro, Its a business decision. It works both ways NOW. Teams suck you up and spit you out when they think you are washed-up ala Babe Ruth, Joe Montana, etc, etc etc etc. How much did it cost the Diamonbacks to hold on to an injured Brandon Webb? What do you think the Colts are going to do if if Peyton is not healthy? If you put your emotions aside you will realize it is strictly business.... I applaud the Lebrons' and the Pujols'...

What I dont applaud is someone signing a 7 year deal and wanting out in 2 for whatever the reason may be and then trying to force everyones hand. Live by the CONTRACT that you signed people. And if youre a free agent be my guest, "cash-in" cause you only get a few cracks at that in one lifetime. But dont complain later when you cant compete with zero talent surrounding you because your salary is the majority of the payroll, unless of course if you are the Yankees...

First of all....200 million for 10 years is hardly sucking you up and spittin g you out, especially considering Pujols' age. Second. 1 word...LOYALTY. He just wanted to be the hightest paid player and was willing to leave his long time city, team and fans for $$$$.

the only thing funny is the Giants are in the World Series and the Dodgers aint...

My mother grew up in the Fort Hamilton section of Brooklyn and loved her "bums" and baseball... she would bleacher in Ebbets...till Mr O'Malley broke every heart in Brooklyn in '58,the year i was born. She boycotted baseball till '67,when she would take me to Shea on sealtest milk carton coupons, tuesday night nosebleeder seats.....The Dodgers broke my mothers baseball heart,a terrible thing to break...you could say my hatred is from the womb,a deep hate....yet, Dodger dogs are pretty damn good, the stadium is a classic and Fernando was the shit...

the only non pussy to put on a dodger uniform....

The stadium was a classic. I dont even recognize the place anymore. Where is the Mike Brito section behind home plate, what is all that advertising on the outfield walls, what the fuck is that structure out behind center field. What has happened in 10 short years... Who even owns the goddamn team? My favorite non-pussy to ever put on a Dodger uniform: Rick Monday
