I really like those 4 cylinder turbocharged Volvo engines
I've been thinking about installing one in my Syncro

Thanks. I was going to put one in my buggy but decided against it. They are great engines, easily serviced and can be souped up reasonably. They are also non-interference,(except the 16 valve engines but those were never turboed here), which is always nice. I want to put one in an old ice cream truck.

The first car I have pictured went 130mph,non-intercooled. May have gone faster but with the front wheel drive wheels/no spacers and crappy alignment it was getting spooky. Laughing I had less than $700 in that car including all the swap stuff.

Start a thread if you do the swap and let me know if you need parts or anything. I part those for a living.

Oh man, I love those old T.A.'s. I wish that I could afford both the bug and one.

Figured as much. My faves are the '78s and older, with the exception of the 10 th Anniversary TA that has the Pontiac block. I still can't understand why they dropped an Olds engine into a Pontiac. Whatever... Still can't buy one. Lol.

It is getting a 93 B230FT with an M46 and a limited slip.Dash, seats and doors, from a 240. Front fenders and grille from an early 140. and a lot of other mods that only "70 140" would understand,(or despise). This one will be intercooled.

I approve Smile Although, I know I'm the minority, but I like the 73 and 74 140 front ends.

I have a 1990 Buick Regal Gran Sport 2+2

^^Not hers but nearly identical.

This was the wifes 1st new car purchase. She couldn't part with it after replacing it with another car in 2005. It's parked awaiting a restore and its still in surprisingly good shape body wise. Drivetran is a bit rough.
I HATE working on anything GM!
I keep trying to convince her to scrap it.

But she won't Confused

Is it still considered a project if you haven't touched it in a year?

How about 2 years, or 3, or 4, or 5, or 10, or 20?

Technically, it's on her "Honeydo" list which translates into a P.I.W. (Project in Waiting) Wink

I cut my teeth as a mechanic in a speed shop that specialized in big K's. I know more about Z1's and KZ1000's than anything else in this world Laughing . Hold on to that 550, they will have their day.

I didn't think about motorcycles. Mine is a 1970 Kawasaki Bushmaster 90 2 stroke. Currently having some electrical work done. Found it after it sat for 15 years. Gas tank was the nastiest I've ever seen inside.
