Good luck with the bodywork mate!
Just realized you cut the beam on the outside of the chassis mounts, did you get the torsion arms in OK?
I read somewhere that you had to cut and weld the centre of the beam because the weld would stop the torsion arms going in properly?

thanks mate. ye they went in ok. i cut just to the side of the mounts so there was room before the bearings. the center was welded when i put the say-a-way adjusters in Laughing

rain stopped work today so got my shell inside. cut the glass out, bonnet off,door off, and some hard graft sanding and welding


found a few holes on the rear so drilled them out and welded them up

anti rust was before paint

more done today. god its hard to get that paint off but no filler found yet so thats good news.

i stopped work today and got a beer out when the bonnet hanger sprung up and smashed me in the eye brow giving me a nice split Mad

Geez, good stuff happening. Somehow I missed this thread. I got a slash across my throat from the kung fu bonnet hanger. You have my sympathy. I wont be doing that again. The funny thing is, this happened right after I started dating a chick. Hmmmm. Fit of jealousy?

This still has got to be one of my most favorite build threads ever! Such a unique car! And you're doing one kick ass job bringing it back to life!

started on my rear pannel last night. why is it you allways run out of welding wire on a sat night or a sunday when nothing is open. aaaaahhhhhh, got the pannel spotted so jus need to weld it in now :rolleyes:
