No, There will be an opening on the back wall that will house it. When I crank it up the ball will come out.
BTW I went with the 22" rims and have decided to go with the Louis Vuitton knock off cloth for the interior. Oh, I am going with neon as well. _________________ Google this.

I'll email John L about this.

Really?? You actually call him to confirm that tom had permission to put 2 rubber bands in a package ... And gives them away??? Even if he didn't have permission, it is not like he took a tomahawk missile and repackaged it as a hatchet missile. ... Wow. Awesome.
can we get back to this killer build now? |
Sorry, i've know Tom for too many years and it's an inside joke.
And it's not the rubber bands... it's the idea. It's called "IP" Intellectual Property. |
ah I understand now. Usually I catch sarcastic stuff, but I missed it. My bad. |

Actually it was good, since I haven't spoken to John L. for some time. He's passing my name on to people in his Porsche and BMW club that need distributors rebuilt.
So it's a win/win, I bust Tom's balls and get some business out of it _________________ Glenn

I have been busy the past two weeks. I finally got the chassis on the rotisserie. I replaced the fuel line using one of our kits. Then cut the shifter location and prepped the parts like replacing the shift rod bracket then welded everything back in. I used butt welding clamps to hold everything together. Next I shifted the e-brake location back and made filler for the front of it. Then the dash replacement followed by a layer of glass over the complete hood. I then drilled for the column. After that I took an old Manx dash bracket I had and highly modified it to work on this buggy. I used the windshield brackets to hold it in place. Then popped the tank on the body and installed the hood, bolting it down at the brackets. I then drilled for the fuel fill. Next I started on the console. The console will be finished off with closed cell foam and wrapped with leather. I then started making the caps for the dash and tonneau cover. Both will be padded and wrapped in leather. I also started on the seats. I broke one down to make a pattern with it. I only need to use one cover for both. Next I ironed it out for final prep. I will go over this project later.
At the beginning of the build I put a call out for control arms and trailing arms, Tom I. came threw for me. He had everything I needed. He even had a lowering beam I was going to buy anyway so I grabbed everything. I broke them down and checked the parts. They were fine. I know this is a brief description; I just wanted to get some photos up. Feel free to ask “How I did it” and why. So with out further ado, here are some photos.

Great job Tom, keep it up. Here's an idea to document the work: Set the GoPro on a tripod and have it take interval pictures.
Can't wait to meet again in Carlisle. |

I was going to do just that but I just never had the time. BTW, I have two now. The new one is the new "Hero 2". _________________ Google this.
