That's a 68 or later body but the pan may be earlier. Check both the body and pan VIN#s. Unless they match of course Very Happy

Yeah, I was thinking that. Gonna be a few days before I can get to the Chassis #. I'm scared to see what I might find inside the body!

You should get $50 in entertainment value out of it, if nothing else.

you got a great deal for 50 bucks. In fact you got an AMAZING deal. I sold a car in WORSE condition with no windows no floors and crappy body (no rust tho) it was a rolling chassis + body (72 standard) i sold it for 500 bucks. Oh the engine was also cut apart with a die grinder cause it was so seized.

Well after about 2 hours of gutting, looks like this one will be sold off for parts! To much rust in luggage area, heater channels and some in fender wells. If you know anyone with parts needs, let me know!

Too funny because I moved out of Everett to come to Vegas less than a year ago. I could always use the parts Laughing . I lived on 112th st SE, miss Rock City Coffee Sad . If you ever saw a red 68 with white wheels that was me, was my daily when I was there.

At least in Vegas the VWs should rust considerably less. The downside might be the heat, no?

Heat isn't that bad once you're use to it. The sun bakes your non clear coated paint in a matter of hours so that can be a pain. The rain we do get is loaded with chemicals so leaves nasty spots in you paint too. Also you can't wash your car in your driveway so I use a quick detail product almost every time I drive. Worth it though.

No doubt you could make some cash parting it out, but I hate to see these cars get spread out from themselves. Maybe you can put it away untill later? Wink

Make sure both VINs match, or you could have trouble registering it.

Good luck getting a title, unless you're parting it out, which I would hate to see, in all honesty.

What condition is the windshield in? I'm looking for one for my 73 standard.

Yep, it's the law. Heck, in a HOA neighborhood like mine you can't even work on your car in your garage with the door open without getting a ticket. Sucks huh

If you find you can't part it out I would Baja it.

Wow, that's too bad. Progress I guess, huh.

That's one benefit of living in the country.
