Hey guys, I spend most of my time in the air cooled forums, but a friend of mine just finished installing a new clutch in a 1998 Golf and now he says the cable is out of adjustment and the clutch doesn't work properly. From what he has described, it is a self adjusting cable. What is the procedure for resetting the cable?
Thanks,

if the self adjusting cable is not adjusting anymore. it needs replacing, most people replace them with the manual adjusting cable which cost about the same or less then the self adjusting cables. here are some links you can check out
