I agree with everybody who stated how great the Ft. Desoto campground is. Even with the ranger issues if BB is in Tampa next year I will still be camping there. Bugjam for me is just for the swaps but like Gibbs I bypassed it this year and headed home(only 600 miles one way for me though). If the show location changes in the future I will still be there. Again, like was said before, it's all about the people and buses no matter where the location is.

I thought Ft. Desoto was awesome and would love to camp there again if they will have us back. I only spent the one night there but wished I would have gotten there a day or two early.

I would be interested to hear what FMBC does differently while camping at Ft. DeSoto.

The major issues the rangers had were too many vehicles in a site, which was 99% people driving their bus from their own campsite to the one they were visiting. Walking or riding a bike from site to site would eliminate that "problem", which in reality was fabricated problem to begin with. The second reason they were getting pissed was because of too many people in a site. I am not sure what to say about this, I mean everyone sees each other once or twice a year so its natural to all want to talk and hang out. Its like you aren't allowed to go visit your friends unless its in shifts of 3 people at time so as not to "overload" the campsite. I even get the "lights out" at 10:00 PM policy, but they were ready to "drop" us at 8:30 on Friday night. Trust me, from my days of putting on BB I have seen plenty of disrespect by attendees in the past. I know it when I see it and am not seeing that here. The biggest offense I saw was talking to your friends in a large group. Regarding people drinking - are you telling me every person in there wasnt drinking wine under the canopy of their 50' Prevost?

What goes on at the FMBC event there that is different?

1. stay at the tent loop (shown below) with sites as close to each other's as possible (requires everybody to reserve early and specific site #), loop is out of sight, no camp hosts and most importantly no big rigs can fit there, therefore no old farts complaining about
2. have dedicated "main site" which is very large and secluded and again, out of the way, PM for #
3. DO NOT park more than 2 vehicles to a site <===== only thing rangers can hang a hat on

as far as number of people on a site we had many more then there were at Bulli as part of potluck and at a later time as well, never any issues, as far as alcohol, everyone including rangers knows that every site may have some, as long as there is no excessive parting and complaining from the neigbours rangers never bother / give a shit

Easy to play devil's adovcate when you weren't there to see the complete bullshit being spewed but the rangers... Their only legit gripe was the amount of people gathered on one site, probably double the amount opposed to the family next door. They didn't find any alcohol, everyone respected the 1 camper, 2 car limit. If they wanna be bitches thats on them.

I say we just get rid of the entire weekend and only keep go-karting.

But what you fail to realize is that the rangers determine whether or not we can be there. Even if they are full of shit you have to make them happy or we will not be allowed to continue camping or having bulli there.

I don't often agree with Tomas but in this instance he is correct. If we all gather in one loop of the park we won't have any neighbors that will complain about any extra noise.

Also you definitely can't have any more than two vehicles on a site. One camping Vehicle and one non camping Vehicle. We camp in state and county parks and have developed ways to make peace with the rangers.

Basically I don't care if they rangers are dicks. If you want to play in there park you have to play by there rules however strict and stupid they may be.

I will be putting in a BB 18 order for tees and sweatshirts in a couple of weeks.
If you didn't get a tee or sweatshirt and would like one, PM me for further info.

Reprints? Doesn't this ruin the resale value of our original shirts?

Isn't the location part of what makes this event?

Part? Yes. The defining part? No. I've been to Bulli at three different locations. It changes it a bit, however the event at it's core is still the same.

I don't feel that the location is a huge deal. Although if it were closer to Ohio it'd cut down on my drive Laughing

Bulli for me is about the people and the Buses. I don't think I'm alone on that one.

Although location may not be a big deal, Bulli is inherently a Tampa Bay area show. If Desoto is a no go for next year, it would be nice to see it stick somewhere around it's roots.

Nothing's been finalized yet. We are looking at a couple things. I would say you can most likely count on the same weekend as years past, but don't hold us to it. Bulli Brigade is traditionally the 2nd Saturday of November. We will make a formal announcement to confirm everything as soon as we can. We are also working a a new FaceSpace page to also help communicate the info. Thank you for your patience.

large private field/property in the sticks north of Tampa and near Dade City would be ideal for that weekend

Festival Park and autoplex on 301 in zephyrhills would be good, could even do some dirt track racing. And camping is allowed there.

Lol you could have bus-stock there.

I don't care where it is so long as it stays the same weekend. Festival park would be cool since its closer to Pasco county fairgrounds
