Its not installed yet.. I'll wait until thats all 100% completed before I share pics of it. The fuecl cell comes back in 3 weeks and we need to re-gear the 4 speed for TIV power before I can slide the engine in place.
The 2430cc engine has made 219HP on pump gas fully muffled with air filters in place and it is ready to be installed as soon as the tranny is finished.
The 5 speed will come with the 3 liter Turbo engine next winter, I want to finish developoing that combo first and I'd rather throw my "baby motor" in the car coupled to the 4 speed for now. _________________ Jake Raby

Beautiful furnishings and great color combination.
Those speaker grilles are super cheesy though! Some discreet mesh or fabric would really class up the joint. _________________ 1967 Squareback |

Jake-
I should of stopped by to check it out in December, I bought an A Coupe about a block from your shop in GA, on my way out the guy mentioned how close you were, but we had to get down the road to meet a guy about a Pre-A.
Maybe next trip. |

That guy is one of my long time customers... He can hear our dyno lab from his house. _________________ Jake Raby

It looked like a normal A Coupe, albeit a brown one, but it turned out to be a really cool car. The paint code was 938, which showed up on none of my charts or books. I went to my Factory deep throat source who told me I had a rare one, the paint color was a one-off, Lacel Havana Brown, normally seen on Mercedes and Lambrettas, but not Porsche's.
I wrote the whole story up in 9 Magazine, here is a link to the story I posted on the Regsitry site.
http://porsche356registry.org/356talk/1/29827.html
The really ironic thing about finding the car there was I spent lots of time in White County as a kid, my friend's Grandfather had land up there so we camped a lot, and spent a lot of time rappeling on Mt. Yonah, back when you could drive up there. |
