At the end of 80 years I saw in my city a self-confident T1 Split.
They were years in which little were seen some, but someone anchor to the job was!
I memorized the plate and as soon as returned to house I wrote it on a paper sheet.
It remained in a drawer, with many other notes VW, for approximately 8-10 years.
Then I have characterized the owner from the plate number and I went it to find.
He live in a small country near my city.
The owner was a baker and he said to me that the Split was by now firm, parked in campaign.
I greeted it and I promised to it that a day I would be returned in order to go to see the Split.

A day after the other and to pass to others 10-12 years! Embarassed
I am a person who ago the things with calm!

To April 2011 I returned by now from the owner (today in pension) and we went to see the Split. It was a beautiful trip, in spite of the rain.
The first "green" photo that you see is relative own to this first “drawn closer encounter”.

We greeted ourselves with the promise that I would have returned; but this time I knew very well that I would be returned time little after. Laughing

To this point I am decided to share this my recovery with my friend Paolo.
I have known Paolo on an Italian forum of VW. Paolo lives in my same city.
The Split will be our first plan VW.

To the end of June I and Paolo went to see the Split and we decided to take it.
To July the Split was ours! Cool

The video that I have prepared, refers just to the recovery operations.
It has been an afternoon loaded with emotions, sweat ...and much satisfaction.
I hope that the video can succeed to transmit to you also some the emotional force of that intense afternoon.

Good vision… and a council: looked also the end credits.

…. I forgot! We have christened it with the name “Spiga” (Ear); looking the video you will understand because.

Very cool.

For me at least, the first link has been shut down for copyright nonsense.

Me too sadly. However, the second part was awesome! I really enjoyed the quality video production AND the rescue. Loved the surprize ending when the motor started! I did NOT see that coming.........nice job. Very Happy

Thanks for compliments.
It displeases to me that the video part 1 does not see for problems copyright of music.

I am creating a version with free music.

For consoling to you, a new photo! Laughing

I don't succeed in finding a website of free music for my video (without copyright).

Suggestions?

Otherwise I must recreate the video without music, but I don't like without music.

Thanks!!

..if you help me, I post another photo of the archaeological site Laughing
...….a panoramic photo! Wink

Update is needed on thread for bus information.
What work is being done on old crusty buses. Videos not necessary.
Extra points for Chinese subtitles.
