You will be given 2 minutes to make as much smoke as possible. Crowd response will determine the winner.

Due to overwhelming response for March 24th's "Lunde's Peoria Volkswagen presents... Misbehavin' in the Desert," the management at Speedworld Dragstrip in Wittmann, Arizona and i have decided to open a second gate in order to get everyone into the facility in an efficient manner and to reduce wait times.

ALL spectators will now enter at the HAPPY VALLEY gate.

ALL participants will still enter at the JOMAX gate.

The drag racing season is approaching fast! This is the first stop in the Pro Racing Association's 2012 Championship Drag Racing season. The PRA is excited to be working with Misbehavin' Motorsports for our 25th season of drag racing action.

So any update on how long it took people to get into this event. With it being so big and having to open multiple gates, there must have been an overwhelming amount of people that came through the gates. How many racers, swappers and show cars were there. Anyone have any pictures.

Any lines outside the gate were handled quickly. There were no complaints!

Will have pictures up tomorrow... (Sunday)

Honestly think that one gate could have handled the small amount of spectators. If the event is done next year make sure it is not the same weekend as Bug O Rama. Just my thoughts.

As I hear, about 60 show cars and absolutely no swap to speak of. Now if the promoter can get that chip off his shoulder and stop competing with the Holes he could have a great show. This show should have never competed with BOR or the new Fairgrounds Swap. There are enough weekends in the year without stepping on each others toes. JMO

3 events on one weekend really hurt attendance. Maybe 60 cars, no swappers, 2 maybe 3 vendors, not a lot of race cars. I was hoping for something as big as Bugorama. On a side note Bugorama was not that great either. Not alot of racers and attendance looked light too. I wish these 2 organizations would clear up their differences work together and put on good well attended events. I think the VW audience was spread way too thin this weekend. Just MHO Good luck to both, I still plan on attending as many events as possible but Im gonna have to choose carefully.

Looking back at racer #'s the past few years the Arizona events at the beginning of the year are usually light on drag racers.

The next race at Las Vegas (Saturday, May 19th) should see some increased #'s in that department.

If you actually read the website, there was no swap promoted.
Sorry, the promoter has no chip on his shoulder, and is not in the business of competing with the Holes. If you took the time to do a little research, the PRA was cutt off in such a fashion that the holes expected it to just go away, and it was very calculated. The promoter you speak of like you think you know anything, had less than a month to come up with a complete schedule for the entire year. Otherwise, the PRA would have had no races this year.

The show WAS great, and was never meant to compete with BOR. I don't know why some people can't get this through their thick skulls. Really?? How can you not see the absolute benefit to the people coming in from out of town to hit 2 races in the same state on the same weekend? Thats such an obvious no-brainer. Rolling Eyes

Now, the PRA Finals on Nov. 4th in Wittmann were announced well before the Holes decided to screw the racers and then announce their finals the weekend AFTER in Phoenix. So, if you want to bitch about stepping on toes and competing with other promoters, email STEVE HOLE @ BUGORAMA PROMOTIONS.

WOW Amberwaves, pretty harsh post. I see you have misbehavin in your sig line. I am sure all of the event advertisers are sure happy to hear someone from the promotors team is being so negative, to a Samba member for expressing their opinion.

Sorry you feel that facts are harsh. 52HoffmanSplit’s 'opinion' is based on misinformation and.... i don't know, fantasy? It was rude and negative, and the claim to have intimate knowledge of the promoter’s thoughts, feelings, and motivations is absurd. I’m also pretty sure that most people looking for reviews on events are going to look to people who were actually present there, not "internet participators".
Please troll somewhere else, we don’t need uac drama here.

I really didn't mind having having a fully jammed packed VW weekend. I enjoyed it more than anything. It more just like Classic Weekend in Cali. Misbehavin put on a good show. I'll be there for the next one too.

I too was looking forward and had planned for a jam packed VW weekend of events. Even then its still not enough. Keep up the good work and I hope your events grow. Thank you, Misbehavin.
