Tomorrow taking the Shasta Bus in for a Dyno pull.

Part of the Niello Ranch Run weekend festivities includes an open house/lunch stop at UTI in Sacramento.
They are offering $20.00 Dyno pulls with the proceeds going to the Ride to Walk Foundation.

I've never seen a Bus on a dyno before. I'll be taking video.
I'd like to see 100HP at the rear wheels, but guess it to be more like high 70's.

Your bus sounds good, cool vid! So if you're pulling the high 70s, my bus is probably 80, just a little more oomph on the hills. Interesting, thanks for posting.

I had the limiter set for 4800rpm. It was still pulling. Should have set it at 6K.

I'm loving that torque reading. HP is nice, but that 107 is what gets the bus over the hill.

I wonder if I could even break 50...on either.

Maybe if you added them together you could pull 50.

Since no one is listening, I'll just brag a little about Rachel and I highmarking the snowdrifts across Clear Creek Road in the bus, then highmarking them again on the Honda Trail 90. We hoped to be the first across the summit, but it ain't gonna happen this week....

eeeeej

y'know, if ya highcenter a 90 on a snow drift, it just sits there, upright?
funny.

Nice! But 3 weeks until what?

I've been working again, but back in San Jose...so I'm putting about 300 miles a week on the bus and it's only increasing the number of projects I want to complete before Shasta 13!

Hey All -

The Northwest Bug Run (June 2nd, 2012 in Woodburn, OR) is setting aside an area just for Shasta buses. I know that a few of the Southern Oregon guys are driving up for it. Just want to make sure everyone else knows about it.
