|
|
Hi there,
I need to replacem my rusted bumpers on my 1974 Westy. Question: has anyone replaced the white painted bumpers with chrome ones? How did it look? Second, does anyone know if it is possible to put 1973 bumpers on a 1974?
Cheers,
Rick

Square bumpers '73-'79 are identical. There might be some issue with the rear tow hook depending which side it's on. Chrome looks nice depending on what look you want. I stayed white on my campers with the white tops. _________________ Dirk

Ah, maybe you should not be so quick to judge until you see the whole bus? |

ah, i don't need to see the whole bus to 'judge' anything. it is clear that it has had pretty tacky accessories plastered all over it. thankfully, it looks reversable _________________

European's seem to like bling. Everyone has their ideas on what looks the best. That's why I am scared to post pictures of my bus with the 70's hanging bead curtains I have. You have to wait until I hit my first show!
I stand corrected, thought it was a european owned bus!
I still like it.

Do a search for "vw76westy". That's Raul's bus. He has pictures in his gallery of his bus!!! _________________ 77 Westy named Tiki - Daily Driver 80 miles a day!

| Thanks everyone for your comments. And especially to the person who added the pics with the chrome bumpers. In the end, I decided to simply replace the bumpers and leave them white. It's true, it's all a personal decision and there isn't a right or wrong. cheers, rick |
