NEW DATE for 2012!
This event will be moving to the Spring time! Hope you can come join us!
Let your friends know of the date change. If you would like some flyers, just let us know.
5th Annual Pittsburgh Classic April 22, 2012
Held at Pittsburgh Raceway Park in New Alexandria, PA
All VW Car Show, Drag Racing and Swap meet.
This event includes 3 1/8 mile bracket classes with a total of $3000 will be given out.
Also featuring The 1/4 Mile Ultimate Street Shootout and Pro Outlaw Heads up classes.
The Show car area includes over 20 Classes for Air and Watercooled plus Best Of's.
Used Swap meet starts at $35, so get those Garages cleaned out and make some extra cash!

We regret to inform everyone that we are going to have to cancel the Pittsburgh Classic event that was going to be held this Sunday April 22nd. Due to inclement weather, we feel this is the best decision for the safety of everyone coming.
We will not be rescheduling the event as the dates that we could have were already taken by other local & regional events.
Please pass the word to all your friends.

| Being 80 degrees in March, and 80 just yesterday, we were all hoping for the best. I'd really like to thank Keith, and Kathy for all of their efforts bending over backwards to try, and get an event going in Western Pennsylvania. Sorry it didn't work out better than it did. THANKS! |

That is one bad thing about the weather here in PA, currently they are calling for 80% chance of rain next weekend. The jet stream could push it out and hell it might be 85 and beautiful next weekend, who knows. It is so hard to plan anything this time of year.

I really hope this is not the end of the show. It still has a great potential for the area where a good size, all encompassing VW event is missing.

Yeah, me too! I look forward to this show every year. Weather had threatened the last 2 years but both turned out reasonable and I know I had a good time but the weather definitely hurt the show.
Hopefully a good weekend will be found for this event. |
