So I have an opportunity to buy a huge dealer sign. Its 9' yes NINE FOOT in diameter. he's asking $300 for it. should I buy it or try to talk him down.
I'm really only interested in buying it to resale for a profit.

Id pay 300 for it and not think twice. The questions would arise later when looking for a place to put it Shocked

Here's something to remember, it's the size of this one. I know you're thinking it's cheap and that you can resell it for a profit. A friend of mine also has one of these and he had it listed here on the site for probably close to a year with no takers for not much more than this sign is, so that may give you an idea of what the "profit" is one one of those 9 footers. If you want to turn a profit on one, you'd have an easier time selling the 6 footer that I have as it's a much more manageable size to mover around and get in and out of a garage. Plus, you've put it on here telling all of us how much it is, so now when and if you list it, folks are going to know what you paid for it. If you like it for your self, buy it. If not then just pass the info on it along to someone who would buy it that would appreciate it for their garage. I know I'm probably playing devil's advocate here, but it's the truth.

That's so cool! $300 is so cheap for any sort of dealer sign, that's awesome to have one that size. I'd pay double for it. It's the sort of thing you will to your local club when you go.

I am going to look at and possibly buy the sign tomorrow Wednesday 4/18/12 at 6:00 pm eastern. I will trade for a nice set of 15" 4 lug wheels for my Squareback. or a nice swamp cooler. or?? I'm into signs and collectables.
I'm also accepting cash offers for the sign. keep in mind its buried deep in this guys garage plus I will have to put it on my car trailer to get it home. If we can make a deal I can bring it to the German invasion this weekend in Shelby, NC.
If nobody wants it then I will just hang it in my garage.
