I've been looking forward to this event for a while. The route is perfect for a long caravan of VWs and from what I hear the end point is a nice place to relax and enjoy a couple tall ones and a bite to eat. Paul was an outstanding member of our club and hobbyist community and I only hope that when my time comes to an end I get such an outpouring from my friends and family. Even if you didn't know Paul this will be a great opportunity to take your ride out for a nice weekend ride and meet some new faces and hang out. If you've never participated in a cruise like this all I can say is there is nothing like an endless line of vintage VWs to bring a smile to your face.

Thanks for getting this post started, it means a lot to use if we can get as many folks out for the cruise. Paul was a great guy and always enjoyed a good cruise. The ending location is really nice for some good food and spirits. I have my whole family coming out to this event with 4 vw's Very Happy, one of them being Pual's old beetle.

Working on some t-shirts for the event. Unless I hear otherwise, there will probably only be a limited amount. White pocket t's with this logo on the back.

Thanks to Casey and Cesar for for all their planning, Paul would be proud.

I've been hearing a lot of buzz about the ride, it should be a good one. I think CJVWS will make this an annual event.

A Mustache Ride?!? Those are my favorite! They should consider having a rodeo at the end of the cruise. Very Happy

Cesar, Denise and I took the kids for a run of the cruise route. It was a great time and I think everyone is going to really enjoy it. The Long Valley brew pub was also delicious.

Let's see how you guys do putting up the banner at Flanders this year. Last year Paul and I and one or two others made it look like a Three Stooges comedy. Very Happy

Weather is looking good. Since Jeffrey will not be there ( in Ireland ), I will bring my camera and be the designated photographer. Rumor has it Billy Egenton will be driving an air cooled bug. Now, how's that for a special occasion.

That would be awesome to see Billy behind the wheel of an aircooled. I don't think I have ever seen that. If he wants to cruise the truck and trailer the roads might be a little tight.

Can someone bring the club flag?

I can pick up the flag on my way to Warren as I am meeting up with Billy @ FCW and driving up with him and Dave. Also, I'm headed down to pick up the shirts tomorrow afternoon. The printer sent me some pictures of the finished product and I have to say you guys outdid yourselves - they look top notch. I'm eagerly awaiting a full scale cruise on Saturday!

Ok, just a few days and counting until the best air cooled cruise this side of the Mississippi. The weather is looking better and better and the pub is steady brewing as we speak. People are coming from far and wide to remember Paul and to blow the dust off their beloved VW.

Come out and be apart of a great gathering Very Happy Very Happy
