|
|
I am looking for a canadian, upper western us states or western states dealer for the fiamma bike rack. Can't seem to locate one. I don't want to pay for shipping that costs more than the rack itself. Any sources?

There is only one distributor in US (it seems), based in Orlando, FL. They have a T3 and T4 van bike rack listed on their website, but not the T2. I would try contacting them and seeing if that is something they could maybe get for you. It would be cheaper than shipping from Italy or the UK, I would think!

They do sell the T2, for our bays. I did see the FL. location but was hoping someone out west was a dealer. |

That will be the source if I can't find one out west. |

I couldn't find a Canadain source when I looked.. I contacted the company and they suggested I contact Just Campers in the UK... (I guess they thought we were still part of the same country )
I ended up getting mine through bus depot.. |

| Just Kampers is $130.00 cheaper than Bus Depot - may still be cheaper overall shipping it from the UK. |

You could purchase a hitch from Jeremy RockJock for 175.00 and have the option then of using any number of receiver mounted racks. I am utilizing one that will carry four bikes. _________________ 71 Chianti Westy |

get the one without the bike cover, and you don't need to pay the VAT if you are shipping to US. It's $130.00 cheaper.
But yes with shipping you usually save only 30-50 dollars depending on shipping costs. |

I may have overpaid a bit by getting it from Bus Depot.. but I have always had great service with them.. and if I needed to return for some reason, it would have been easier.
That being said.. the thing came almost fully assembled, and attached to the bus in minutes. It is super light, and very configurable for weird bike top tubes, etc... Very happy with it. _________________ 1977 Asi Riviera |

| Do you guys also use the rack to haul a cargo box? Any pics or info on the type of cargo box? I am wondering what type of weight the fiamma rack will carry. |

The company claims 35 kg as the max weight, the rack itself makes a flat platform when down just any box would fit on it. It is hard enough seeing through two bike frames a box would totally ruin any view out the back.. |

Very good point. I never thought of that. I was so busy trying not to hide the tail lights with a bike rack that I forgot it's nice to see out the back window.
Dam, new problem. |

I got mine a few years ago from Eurocampers http://www.eurocampers.com/
I don't see it on their website now but I bet they could order it. You may want to price it out with them.
